Trophy
from National Forum for Environment
and Health was awarded at 1st Annual
Environment Excellence Awards in
2004.
These trophies were awarded against
EPCL strong commitment to safe
guarding the environment and promoting
sustainable development. Both of
these them are currently with MIF.
We are starting Academia Linkages
program with ASI group. The project
is funded by European Union. Audit
Services International (ASI) is
a non-for-profit management development
and SME support group working on
the capacity building of local businesses.
ASI is working quite extensively
with the European Commission in
Pakistan for capacity building and
reforms projects for SME development.
The
European Commission has identified
an intervention under its Pakistan
Financial Services Sector Reform
Program (PFSSRP) instrument, to
establish the links between Industry
and Academia of Pakistan. The specific
objectives of the project are as
under;
Compiling information on the Pakistani
universities actively involved
in industrial research and development,
skill/technology/knowledge
transfer & relevant publications/programmes.
Based on the above, devising a strategy
for the transfer of knowledge
and/or skills to the identified SME
sectors
Conducting joint discussion sessions
between the industry and the
academia to exchange information and
create awareness on trade and
export related issues.
Familiarizing the students of the
educational institutions to the
identified industries, their process,
technology, human resources,
products, markets, relevant regulations
and concerned
associations/authorities
